I am so excited to begin this offering;
A teaching series offered through monthly blogs that support harnessing innate healing abilities. Once we connect with our aura, our energy field, we are able to heal ourselves and understand our 'whys', and we gain a deep compassionate understanding of our interconnectedness to all things. I can't help but want to take you to this place of knowing!
As important as it is to identify intuitive gifts, it’s also important to expand these gifts and develop the skills that help you trust the psychic information (senses) you are picking up. As you journey through the stages of connecting to your abilities, have fun, and allow your curiosity and imagination to stretch everyday possibilities. These offerings will also be published on my Instagram and Facebook pages. Interesting and relatable information followed by exercises that guide you through understanding energy.
The amazing fact that both we and the world are composed of energy fields is an invitation to see ourselves as intimately interconnected with and a part of the greater world, rather than as self-contained, or even self-sustaining. In my class, The Art of Connecting, we first establish a sense of the interchangeability of energy. This is incredibly important to fully realize just how subtle energy can transform to physical and vice versa. Whether they are obvious to or hidden from our senses (psychic information), all fields interact to create a harmonious or disharmonious atmosphere. We will continue to expand on this through each series.
Before exploring energy with a deeper intention, invite in positive “energetic boundaries.” Energetic boundaries are just as important as say physical boundaries. Having these boundaries in place establishes lines of the intention of inviting only helpful things into your practice while keeping harmful things out. These boundaries are gatekeepers that help magnetize what we need, including healing, information, guidance, jobs, etc. Setting these boundaries could look like stating a short statement that verbally creates boundaries. Set intentions that support your highest healing only. Ask Divine to form parameters and boundaries around your space and field. Also, surrounding your space with objects that hold deep meaning for you can be one of the strongest forms of boundaries. Approach this with high-vibrational frequency and always reflect back to your highest ideals.
When we seek to heal ourselves, it is rather important to recognize your own energetic field. This exercise is a simple yet extraordinary way to feel your subtle energy field within and around your own body. This exercise is healing, balancing, and energizing. If you’ve taken Reiki I, you may have experienced an exercise just like this or close to this.
The Light in Your Hands:
Sensing your Aura & Inviting Color Therapy
Create a space where you won’t be disturbed. Get comfy. Take your time. Trust your senses.

Step 1: the energy in your hands. Rub the palms of your hands together for 10 seconds, like you're vigorously scrubbing them. Then hold your hands in a vertical position about one inch apart, palms facing each other, but not touching, and feel the energy you have created between your two hands.
Step 2: flowing red energy. With this energy now flowing, imagine that you are bringing red energy through the back of your heart, into your chest, down your arms, and through your hands. Do you feel a marked difference between your hands?
Step 3: flowing blue energy. Imagine blue energy streaming in through the back of your heart, streaming into your chest and arms, and through your hands. What sensations do you experience in your hands with this blue energy? Do you experience anything marked difference in your hands with blue versus red? Do you experience sensation anywhere else in your body?
Step 4: making an energy ball. Now return to a new neutral zone, dissipating colored energies. Pat your hands together as if you are gathering energy and make an energy ball - like a snowball of light. Mindfully create this energy ball, seeing how far you can spread your hands before you can no longer sense the energy.
Step 5: sensing different areas. Now taking the energy ball that you’ve created and see how it feels in front of your heart space. See how far you can spread your hands – or how it may be more comfortable with your hands closer together. Now, take your energy ball down near your lower abdomen. Taking a deep breath, sensing how the energy may feel differently here from the heart space. Exploring your energy field in different areas. Paying attention to your breath, your physical reaction, possibly even your emotional state.
Step 6: noting your experience. What did you experience with each step of this exercise? You may find it helpful to jot down your thoughts in a Journal. You can also experiment with doing this exercise at various times of the day and in different physical locations if you want to take the exploration to another level.
Self-healing: using the energy ball. Beyond this exercise, you may find comfort in taking that energy ball you've created and gently placing your hands over your heart space and/or solar plexus. Gently and lovingly placing your energized hands over or on your body is a beautiful expression of self-nurturing and care. Direct healing intentions through your hands, close your eyes and connect with your breath. Rest easy, trusting that healing energy is flowing through your hands to your body. Tune in to the interconnectedness of your energy field and physical. Let go of analytical thinking and trust the flow that presents itself.
If you would like to explore energy-sensing further, you may do this same exercise with plant life or crystals and rocks. This will offer a more in-depth exploration of other energy fields before moving onto other individuals' energy field.
