The Somatic Series: A Journey Into Nervous System Healing

This series focuses on a foundational pillar of true healing: nervous system regulation.

Our thoughts, behaviors, feelings, and perceptions are all deeply influenced by what’s happening in our nervous system. While it may seem like it runs the show, the empowering truth is: you can work with it, not be ruled by it.

I was drawn to this work because I once found myself exactly where you might be now—stuck, frustrated, and searching for something deeper. Through years of personal healing and training—most notably in Dr. Peter Levine’s somatic education programs, alongside ongoing study and practice—I’ve experienced firsthand the profound change that’s possible through somatic work. It wasn’t until I discovered the power of somatic healing that everything truly shifted for me.

Here’s what I’ve learned: Somatic healing is about showing, not telling.

It’s not just about what happened to you—it’s about how that experience created an overwhelming surge of energy in your body. If you didn’t have safety and support when the event ended, that energy often stayed stuck, living on in your present-day experiences. That’s trauma.

We feel trauma through the body—through reactions, responses, behaviors, and patterns that keep us stuck in cycles of pain and overwhelm. Your brain has a beautifully designed "threat detector," always scanning for danger. When past traumas remain unresolved, that detector can misinterpret present-day situations (like receiving love, facing authority, being seen, experiencing intimacy) as threats. It sends out a signal: “Danger!”—and your nervous system kicks into a survival response: fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. You may experience this as anxiety, frustration, fear, anger, agitation, numbness, or hopelessness.

This series is a tender, powerful space devoted to honoring and transforming these patterns.

We’ll explore the ways trauma shapes your body and your life, gain insight into your unique nervous system responses, and work with practical, embodied tools to shift from dysregulation to balance.

In-person sessions include:

  • Understanding trauma and its impact on your daily life.

  • Exploring the 3 core states of dysregulation and how they contribute to repeating patterns.

  • Gaining clarity on your personal triggers and body messages—and how to work with them.

  • Creating your personal map of regulation: discovering what truly supports you and when to use specific tools.

  • Practical, tangible steps for nervous system regulation you can return to anytime.

  • Hands-on interventions such as boundary development, titration, therapeutic movement, yoga, self-touch, energy healing, and journaling.

Each session offers tools and resources for ongoing self-care and healing.

Online sessions:

We’ll focus on breathwork in the comfort of your home. Breathwork is one of the most effective holistic methods for stimulating the vagus nerve, calming the nervous system, and grounding you in the present moment. You’ll learn mindful breath techniques that can ease anxiety, depression, and other stress-related symptoms—bringing lasting calm and connection to your body.

This series is a deeply supportive and empowering opportunity to reclaim your health, wellness, and sense of self. I can’t wait to walk this path alongside you.
